Question
Preschool has been a wonderful thing for my 5-year old daughter. The two things that were a theme throughout the year, however, were that her teacher told me that my daughter often talked out of turn--about anything and everything that came to her mind; and she had a hard time sitting through the occasional teacher-directed activities where she had to sit down to complete a task like an art project. Once this came to my attention, I noticed that my daughter also spoke out of turn in dance class, and now a different activity. I've told her before her classes or before the school day to raise her hand, listen to her teacher, etc. It doesn't seem to have helped. How can I better address this issue with her before she starts Kindergarten in the fall? Thank you.
