This is a follow-up to my question of 9/9/15 about my 6.5yo kicked out of the garden. We did as you suggested and reduced her target behaviors to prompt obedience and no back-talk, and reduced her daily allotment of tickets to 4. It's now been another 2.5 months and she has not even come close to earning her way back into the garden. At one point she went for 7 days keeping at least one ticket, but the rest of the time it's been 1-3 days, then she has a bad day and loses all her tickets, sometimes by mid-morning. We are tired and discouraged, she is discouraged and angry, and even her siblings are sick of it because they miss playing with her. We're considering restoring her privileges as a Christmas present, and then keeping her on a daily tickets system with the loss of all privileges, room confinement, and early bedtime when she loses all her tickets. We think it might even help her to have more to lose on a daily basis. It seems that for now, this child is incapable of misbehaving fewer than 4 times a day for 2 weeks straight.
