Question
My soon to be six year old daughter (birthday in a week) has been acting out in the morning with meltdowns and tantrums. She is almost done with kindergarten and should not be acting this way! We do the ticket system and it has been effective but she still gets worked up about her outfits, shoes, or hair. She freaks out if she thinks her younger sister looks cuter or 'fancier' than her. When she does have a tantrum she automatically loses tv for a week. But this getting ready stuff is ridiculous! My husband and I striped her room of all clothing & shoes today while she is at school. For two weeks straight, I will pick out her outfit ( including pajamas) and she will get her clothes back in two weeks as long as she doesn't throw any fits about getting ready. If she does, the 2 weeks start over. What are your thoughts about this? Thanks.
