Question
My 4 year old daughter has been having problems listening and following directions, particularly at her after school program. She gets written up at least once a week and has been suspended from the program twice. My husband and I remind her of the expectations every night before bed and every morning before school. We also remind her of the consequences. We take away electronics and she stays in her room all evening (except dinner) with an early bedtime and gets a spanking if she gets written up or has a bad day. There are very few toys in the room and we confine her to a chair. We also warned her that if she got written up again she would not get to go to her dance class anymore which is something she loves. Yesterday she got written up and we did all of the above including taking dance away but nothing seems to click with her to correct the behavior. Do you have any suggestions?
