Question
After a bitter divorce, our daughter has been awarded primary custody of her two boys, 5 and 7. The father is determined to make "men" of his boys, and accomplishes this by various methods. Most recently, he killed a groundhog and skinned him in front of the boys. When the 5-yr. old was reluctant to watch closely, he called him a "2 year old girl". Another time, when the 7-yr old complained that the temperature of the shower water was too cold, he called him "a princess". The boys bring a sneering attitude back when they return after a weekend with their father. Our daughter teaches that it's not nice to call people names, they don't have to do things that frighten them. What can we do?
