Question
Our grandchildren, preschool aged, do not eat dinner with their parents, and have not been reared to share a family meal. Consequently, when the family comes to our house for the occasional meal the children goof off, are loud, and are constantly demanding of their parents' attention, It is totally disruptive and adult conversation is impossible. This dinnertime is the focus of their visit, but leaves us completely soured. Is there anything we can do?
