5 year old wails over everything

Question

Hi there, I posted a question a few months ago about my daughter's reaction whenever she falls down and bumps her head/leg etc or has a small cut or bruise. She wails the house down, very loudly and for a very long time. It's getting to the point where we are extremely sick of it, and we are responding matter of factly to it and we are expecting her to cry in her room (treat it like a tantrum). It's also getting to the point where we are giving consequences for anything we consider an overreaction to a tiny injury as she is really over the top. We really dread any scrapes, falls and bruises as this us what we would get..same in school too or anywhere. Other children usually just get up and get on with it but she usually sounds like someone has just cut off her limb. It's getting from bad to worse and seems to be fueled by a combination of her fear of it not getting better, attention seeking and her feeling extremely sorry for herself. Any advice for dealing with this once and for all?
