Question
My 5 year old is in a program at our church where she is required to memorize a verse of scripture (age appropriate) every week for her class. Getting her to say her verse is very frustrating b/c she "forgets" after the first word or two; even after I have gone over and over it with her. I have tried to think of hand motions to help her remember and have sent her to her room so she can concentrate and get it down. She usually ends up in tears because I want her to say it correctly 5 times in a row. If I can get her to say it, the same thing happens the next day when I ask her about it. I want this to be a positive experience for her but it's not ending up that way for me or her. Help!
