Question
Typical punishments for my children includes sending them to bed early or confining them to their room for the remainder of the day once their ticket are used. They miss out on all activities that occur after being sent to their room, no matter what comes up. My question has to do with their grandparents. My in town in-laws, which we see at least twice every week, get upset with my husband and me if we keep the kids in their room while they visit. These visits are sometimes pre-arranged or spontaneous. Should we let the kids out of their punishment to play with their grandparents? Thank you.
