Question
I have a 5 year old stepson, who is with us 2 nights a week- one school night (after school-bedtime) and Sundays (around 10am-bedtime). My husband plays and interacts with him almost the entire time he is with us. He plays by himself only when we are preparing dinner. He wants us to always be playing with him. I think he needs to self-entertain more but also know my husband needs and wants to maximize his time and influence with his son during the limited time we have him. Thoughts? The boy is generally a sweet, happy and well adjusted kid.
