Question
My 3.5 year old daughter often won't get herself ready in the morning unless I stand there with her. She knows how to wash her hands and face and get dressed without assistance, but if I just tell her to go do it, she plays until I come and do it for her. If I stand in the bathroom/bedroom and watch her, she does it all herself, and in a normal amount of time. I was always a dawdler as a kid and my mom nagged me, and I can feel myself slipping into this bad pattern. Do I leave well enough alone and just stay with her for now, treat it as disobedience, or is there a fun trick that will make it all better?!
