Question
Our question is about punishment for our 4½ year old girl. Usually we ask her to stand in a circle on the floor, or we send her to her room for the rest of the night, or a fixed amount of time, no toys no books. she gets upset and screams, but after about 5 minutes she starts laughing and giggling to herself and doesn't seem to understand she's getting punished. But more frequently as of late, she talks back or shouts, especially at mom at the beginning of the punishment. Actually, she's also started ignoring us a bit as well in general. Should we add additional punishment for the back talk/tantrums? How strict should we be, as we feel she's been in punishment a lot recently.
