Question
My daughter left her ex-husband due to his excessive use of alcohol and refusal to get help when her son,Colin,was 4 months old. She divorced him, has remarried and has another child. Colin was 3 in March. He has not had any contact with his father in over 2 years, yet his father has never been denied visitation. His father does not pay child support. Colin does see his paternal grandmother several times a year. She is good to him and wants a relationship. My daughter's husband wants to adopt Colin,and they will probably proceed with that. Our question is: How and when do we tell Colin of his biological father.
