Question
My 4 year old stepson recently asked my husband why mommy and daddy don't live together (they separated when he was 18 months). His father responded that when he was a baby, they did live together, but couldn't get along, so now they live apart; and even though they live apart, they both love him very much. He (the child) did not ask further questions and moved onto something else. I think we handled this okay, but am curious if you have any thoughts on addressing these kinds of questions.
