Question
At what age do you think it is appropriate for children to start going to preschool? My son is going on 3 and he is home with me, but I plan to send him to preschool in Sept when he will be 3 and a half. Almost all of my friends with children the same age began sending their children this past Sept when they were 2 and a half. They seem to think my son is missing out and won't have the same developments, experiences, etc. But I plan on sending him for 2 years prior to kindergarten. Thoughts? I'd never before really heard of kids going to kindergarten before they're 3 and I thought it was more important for him to be home with me b/c this time in his life will be over before we know it.
