Question
My 14 y/o son is selecting classes for high school. He plays the drums but is refusing to be involved in band. He doesn't have a reason but I'm betting it's just not cool He is not involved in other activities. He has had trouble transitioning from one school to the next and this would give him an opportunity to connect with kids before school starts. He was selected for district band, was talked into going and enjoyed himself. Although this was only a 2 day event, he was glad he did it. Would it backfire to make him take band his freshmen year to see if he likes it. After that, his decision.
