Question
Our almost 18yo son lies to us seemingly about everything - from the smallest to the very serious. From his texts that we've seen, it appears that he lies to his friends most of the time, too, about the dumbest things. He has gotten scary good at it, and we are having serious trust issues with him, and have discussed all of this with him repeatedly. He has lost his phone and is currently grounded for this and other issues, but we don't know what to do or how to help. Would a youth director or teen counselor be a better choice? We want to help and hope it's not too late. Anything we can do?
