Question
I was babysitting my son's girlfriends little 1 1/2 year old girl. She was sleeping when they left and when she woke up she started to cry. They were gone about an hour and she cried off and on throughout this period of time. I saw nothing wrong with letting her cry. I tried various things to passify her. Changed a dirty diaper, etc. I am 64 years old, have raised 3 children and been a classroom teacher for 40 years. I saw nothing wrong with letting her cry. Her mom was furious that I didn't call her to come home. She doesn't think she should have been allowed to cry. Who's right?
