Question
My five-year-old son constantly hits, punches, kicks, etc. Most of the time it comes when he is asked to do something, especially if it is something he does not want to do. The hitting has been going on for years, but has since escalated. It is to the point that he comes after me to continue hitting and hurting, even after I tell him to walk away and cool off. His father and I are divorced and he is split between two homes. However, the behavior began when he was two; he would hit his father in the face when he brought his face too close to my son's. I am very sadden and frustrated that I cannot figure out how to help my son with his emotions and anger. I've tried 1,2,3 magic, time-outs, color charts and sticker charts. Any assistance would be appreciated.
