Despite being among the last parents to give our teens phones, their usage with those, as well as chatting with friends via the computer has gotten out of hand. Unfortunately, the school now provides laptops and a majority of the assignments are expected to be completed online and emailed to the teachers. Both are good students who normally study in their bedroom but the temptation to online chat with schoolmates has proven to be quite the distraction. What do you think is a good evening cut off time for a high school senior and freshman for phone and computer usage and should either or both be relegated to common family areas or just after a certain time?
