Question
I have a 13 year old stepdaughter who is with us every other week and I am wondering if an allowance would encourage her to do her chores with less of an attitude. She has not asked for an allowance, and my husband believes that she should help simply because she is a member of the family and not expect payment. Right now, we only ask her to dry the dishes and clean her room occasionally - but she gives us plenty of attitude and I need to keep nagging her. She has lots of after-school and weekend activities (her mother's doing) so its not really feasible to ask her to do more chores.
