Question
John, I have read Ending the Homework Hassle, and just glanced throught it again, and I don't think it quite covers my specific question since your program and Dr Dave's are a little different. I am not currently hovering - or managing my child's homework - he is totally responsible. Under the CSP as I understand it I am supposed to be targeting key problem behaviors, and issue a time out when I see them. I want to know how to do this without reinforcing the bad behavior especially since he is working in his room, and I must peek in or possibly ask what his progress is. Unless I am overlooking it, I don't remember this (the positive/negative reinforcement, and time-outs) being part of ETHH.
