Question
My 4th grade boy (10 in June), has been struggling in spelling and writing--specifically getting his ideas from his intelligent brain onto paper. If he dictates or types, the ideas are much more "advanced" than if he tries printing them. His teacher is recommending a "professional neuropsychological evaluation" to determine if there is a "disconnect" somewhere. Part of me wonders also but part of me also says he's a 9 year old boy who needs some more time to grow up and "develop". (Math is not a problem, nor are there any emotional/behavioral issues.) Comments?
