Question
From previous questions you know that our two kids are very active and often very naughty. God is helping us and we’re trying to follow your advice. Some weeks are rough. Others are better but we are gradually making progress. My husband and I want more children in the future but with having two kids (both in the “terrible twos”) it makes me wonder when is a good point to add another. I don’t want too big of a gap but I do want both of the older kids to be potty trained and past the “terrible twos” stage. Sometimes I think I can handle a few more kids and other times (when the two we have are being bad) I feel overwhelmed with the ones God has blessed us with. I know women in the past have had large families (my grandparents had 12) and did well with them so I know it can be done. I admire those women although I don’t want to have quite that many kids. How far apart do you think it is wise to have kids? I want them to have close relationships but having two 13 months apart is hard.
