Question
Good afternoon,
We have an adopted boy in our Christian School that has had trouble working in a classroom environment. He does not seem to have learning disabilities, but if lessons seem overwhelming it seems that his breaker trips and he becomes totally defiant. He has been disciplined, expelled, etc. The teacher is asking for him to be evaluated by someone who does "patterning therapy"? I believe this theory attempts to repair weak brain development? Any cautions with this kind of treatment? It is hard to put into words the distress and frustration of this journey over the last 2 years.
