Question
Hello!
Our second daughter (2.5 yrs) says no to certain things, e.g. I do not want to have the blankets on at bedtime, or no I am not finishing my dinner, or no I am not going outside. We tell her okay and as soon as we do that she starts crying profusely saying yes, I do want it. I tell her that she can change her mind and ask for it politely which she does. This usually solved 99% of the issues, except at bedtime.
At bedtime this started out with her saying I do not want to have the blankets on. I walked away and then she said yes I want them and I put them on. Now she waits until I step out of her room and says I want them on and starts crying hysterically until we come back and calm her.
What could we do to ease this situation?
