Question
I have a 9 year old son who has a passive defiant attitude. He doesn't ever talk back or freak out when he doesn't get his way but will "ignore" what we ask him to do and act like he just forgot. For example, everyday after school he goes to my mother in law's (who has an at home daycare) and is supposed to drink his vitamin shake and get to his homework. He will find anything to distract himself including talking to the daycare kids or will do part of his homework and not drink his vitamin shake until I get there and yell at him. What can I do to make him complete his routine without constant reminders? I've already tried sending him to bed early for not getting to his responsibilities right away.
