My daughter is 5 1/2 years old. She will be starting kindergarten in the fall. She has always put things in her mouth (fingers, toys, pens) - anything she has in her hands she puts in her mouth. We have been working on this by reminding her not to do this since she was 2. It seems to get worse at times then get better. Right now, it seems worse. I am not sure if it is related to stress or change but I would like to help her with this especially before she enters school. Should we see a behavioral therapist? We live in San Diego.
