Question
I have a 5 1/2 year old daughter. In the last few months she has started protesting at bath time saying the water is too hot, she will cry and yell and act like it is painful and torturous, meanwhile her siblings are splashing happily in the comfortably warm water. I want to be sensitive that she prefers cooler water but there is no way the water is burning her at the temperature I put it at. I typically have to get very stern and force her to sit down then she loses the privilege to play in the tub once she finally does get in and very quickly gets used to the water and wants to play. Like I said, this is a new issue, she used to hop in the tub no problem at all! How should I handle this new bathtime protest?
