Question
My daughter is 5 and lying. About anything. She always has a reason (it was a joke; i didn't want to get in trouble; i thought you would be mad....). We've talked about this, punished her with early bedtimes, loss of privileges, snacks,desserts, anything that will motivate her to do the right thing. She's not getting into any trouble where she's in danger. It's silly things like making up stories to fit in, get attention, and sometimes makes no sense at all. Any ideas how to nip this now??
