Toddler Aggression at School

Question

We have a 2-1/2 year old daughter who attends day care. She has always been well-behaved at school and never had a time out, until a few weeks ago, when the teachers reported to us that she has been more aggressive with her peers and has been pushing and sometimes hitting. It happened two days in a row then stopped for a week and now has happened again. Daycare puts her in a time out when it happens. We read Dr. Rosemond's article on toddler aggression, but since we are not there to remove her from the situation, what do you suggest? We do not see this behavior at home. I am assuming this is normal behavior for a toddler? Thank you.
