Question
I'm a little confused about giving consequences and giving (or not giving) warnings.
In "Parent Power" John says not to give warnings, to not spoil your fun, and leave it a surprise, but in "The Well-Behaved Child" the ticket and strike system seem to give the child warnings or several chances at correcting the behaviour before there's a consequence. The strike system using 6 boxes for example, gives 3 chances AND warning of the consequence that will be lost (written in boxes 4, 5 & 6).
How do we approach this?
