Question
How do you handle a child who refuses to go to their room when sent there? Master 5 1/2 is not used to us (me in particular) being so firm with him so when Dad is at work, if I have reason to send him to his room, he screams "No I won't!" and runs through the house or outside. When I try to physically pick him up and put him in his room, he simply runs out again. We cannot put locks on the doors as we are in a rental property and any modifications to house or garden need written approval from the owners.
