13 year old Obsession

Question

I'm worried that my 13 year old is becoming obsessive about some things. She categorizes the silverware when loading the dishwasher, has a "system" for tying her shoes in which she has to line up the Keds logo, and takes an inordinate amount of time to do simple tasks, like cleaning her room or cleaning out her hamster cage. It started this summer, but has come to a head now that school is back in session. She's always been a conscientious and motivated student; I've never had to help her with homework or projects. Now, it's taking her 4 hours to do homework that should take half the time. She's not dawdling or manipulative - She's working the entire time, but meticulously forming each letter and number, sketching art projects until they're "perfect", and organizing her work and binder over and over. I've tried talking to her about time management, giving her tips for completing her work, and giving her space to work on her own. But in the end, I become very frustrated with her and every night this week has ended in tears. I don't think I'm handling this well and it's stressing her out even more. What are the signs of OCD? When should we seek professional help?
