Question
At what age can I use the ticket method or “three strikes, you’re out”? With kids 2.5 & 1.5 I don’t know of very many consequences that make sense at this point. I make them go to their bed if they have bad attitudes/fits, we spank some, and sometimes I will do something like taking away a treat or putting to bed early. But because of two in the “terrible twos” they are naughty often and I’m wondering if there are other options of ways to discipline that might change things up some and work. I don’t want to wear out the few “tools” I have and spanking/time out/etc. to stop being effective. I know about some of the other discipline things from John’s books but don’t know which are for the age group I have.
