Night training continued

My daughter (2.5) that I mentioned in an earlier question seems to be a very heavy sleeper. Because of our current housing situation she sleeps in our room but is in her own bed. I have considered getting a bed wetting alarm but am concerned that it will wake us up throughout the night. We use water proof mattress covers but still have lots of laundry. I have talked to other moms but they think I shouldn’t worry about potty training until 3, that I should limit drinks before bedtime, and that I should use pull ups. She has been sleeping in a nightgown, underwear, and leggings at night - no diapers. Is that too much clothes? She’s been diaper free for a while. I don’t know whether to ignore the advice from others or if there is some truth to it. I don’t know if I should do pull ups or a bed wetting alarm. She is day trained. I’m afraid that diapers or pull ups would make us lose progress. My husband and I are tired of the constant soaked laundry and our room smelling like pee.
