Question
My son has just turned 2, but he has speech delays.
Whenever he has finger foods, he crumbles them up onto the floor and tries to eat the crumbs off the floor.
In his high chair, he eats and throws his food at the same time. For instance, he'll take a bite, shove some food off his tray, take a few bites, shove more food onto the floor.
When I am spoon feeding him, he will sometimes (but not always) chew or taste the food and then spit it out, but want more. He does this all the time with applesauce, for instance.
I'm not sure what to do about it. I don't think he would understand if I simply said, "lunch is over if you throw it".
