Question
This weekend, my two year old daughter got to meet her 2 year old 2nd cousin for the first time. He read hotdog off the menu (his parents said he did; no one else heard him) so they ordered him one; he can count to ten in English and Italian. His parents explained that it is really a pain now that he can read because when they spell bed, he tells them he doesn't want to go to bed. Our daughter was just running around, checking him out, wanting to play. She played her favorite counting game of one, two, nine and showed him how to lick chocolate icing off birthday candles. Should we be teaching her more?
