Mother Wants to Stop Co-Sleeping

Question

My 27 month old has rarely slept through the night. At age 2, we transitioned from crib to toddler bed, but she continues to wake up, which prompts me to rock her back to sleep. Recently, I stopped rocking her at bedtime, and just let her lay in her bed to fall asleep (with me in the room). She is still waking up at night, usually around 1am and crawls into bed with us. I'm now sleeping so soundly, I hardly notice her and am so used to her sleeping the rest of the night with us. I love my sleep so much, I seem to be just accepting this routine. My older daughter never did this. At age two, she slept on her own. Recently however (probably because she knows her sister is in our bed) is waking up around 4am or 5am and also crawling in our bed. I can't stand it anymore. Do I let my youngest cry it out in her room? Meaning shut the door? I tried that several months ago, and it just seemed to go on for ever.
