Question
My son is just two years old this past July. He is sweet overall but when he wants something or doesn't get his way he screams very loud and persistently. When he does this we usually ignore him and put him in another room until "his heart is happy" and don't let him back out until he has finished crying. Despite this however, multiple family members have made it known to me that his behavior is ridiculous and asked me to do something about it. I'm just not sure what to do since he is just two and still doesn't know how to fully talk. I do also try and encourage him to stop screaming and tell me what he wants. I tell him I cannot understand him when he is like that (and sometimes I really can't of course :)). Any advice on the next step to curtailing his screaming would be great. Thanks!
