Question
I just had it out with my seven-year-old daughter (and I lost my cool, sorry to say). Every night, when we sit down to eat dinner, she does everything she can to avoid eating what I have prepared. It's a constant battle. Tonight, I took her unfinished plate of food away and told her she had to go to bed. She had a complete melt down and swore up and down that she would eat her food, and I told her it was too late. She wouldn't go to her room and I started to force her, but thought it was escalating too much. She choked down her dinner, using water to chase it like it was a pill. So, I took the money out of her lunch for tomorrow to buy ice cream. I feel like that's a underhanded and passive aggressive, but I just don't know what to do!
