A quick follow-up to your advice for the gatebell: you emphasize saying "the doctor says so" about keeping him in the bathroom with the gate... but at 21 mo he doesn't quite know who that is, and when I tried today he was freaked out, cried to get out and was def. NOT thinking about the potty. I don't want him to think he's being punished. What now?
