Question
We have a 7 year old girl who has the strongest will I have ever encountered. She is defiant, she is physical towards her older sister(who is her polar opposite) and I am at my wits end. We have done tickets, we have “kicked her out of Eden” we have removed things from her room, no electronics, she has missed several outings, we have spanked her. She just doesn’t care! Yesterday we had a knock down drag out. She was due a spanking(trying this approach again, didn’t work well when she was younger) for telling me no when I asked her to do something as well as just being disrespectful in general. She ran all over the house trying to get out of her spanking. I was trying to keep my cool, but I eventually lost it. Then it became a dramatic/traumatic event to spank her. I don’t want to parent like this. I don’t want any of us living in this type of environment, but I can’t let her rule the house. What are we to do?
