Question
Our youngest daughter is 7 and in the 1st grade. She's in SpEd and receives PT and OT thru ESU. She is getting into trouble at school for chewing on crayons and pencils (hers and others), singing, not sitting still and licking objects. Licking is a new one for us at home-she doesn't do that here. The other issues are kept under control by simple discipline. It is affecting her work and disrupting the class. We are at our wits end. Last year we tried lowering the boom (stripping her room of fun stuff). It became a game, i.e. Mom I got a black sad face today. School and; ESU seem to have low expectations of her academic output, autism spectrum has been mentioned. We feel like pulling her out! HELP!
