Question
My son's elementary school sent home a letter stating that they are going to be employing a teaching method called "Responsive Classroom". The letter explained that it "embraces a social curriculum as much as the academic curriculum". They also will be having class meetings Monday through Thursday and will be having a "Community Gathering" (we used to call them assemblies when I went to school) every Friday morning. Have you heard of this teaching method? If so, what do think? My gut tells me I'm not going to like it, but I'm trying to be open minded! Thanks!
