First I would like to thank you for writing the book Because I Said So. It has liberated me! I give away copies of this book on a regular basis.
Second, I would like to thank you for the advice concerning my 11yr. old girls obsession with Pokemon'. I got to thinking about what you said, "It could be worse, it could be an obsession with boys" and "Americans seem to think there is something hiding behind every tree." This is so true. As I thought about your answers, I came to realize that the Pokemon ( weird as I think they are) have not caused any disrespect in her attitudes towards us or any shirking of responsibilities around the house.
