Question
My 8yo has been sneaking downstairs in the night (setting an alarm) to play video games all summer. We read the Well Behaved Child 6 months ago and the older kids have been on behavior charts, but this is how he gets around it since he rarely qualifies to play video games. His bedroom is pretty barren (nothing electronic, few toys,etc.) When he is confined in it, he reads all day. He is like the Laziest Kid in America you featured in a column, never obeying, quietly devious, hiding clothes, toys,etc. rather than put them away. He compulsively lies, and fights violently with his 5yo brother. He puts on a facade in public, so people think he's angelic. Help?
