Question
My daughter does not like to leave home or go anywhere because she fears my death while she is away. I am very healthy so there is no reasonable cause for these fears. She has also always been terrified to leave me and go to school. Every school year for the first five months, she goes to school crying, is difficult to get out of the car, etc. This past year her new pediatrician diagnosed her with an anxiety disorder. She recommended a child psychologist who recommended we homeschool Leah, which we are trying. Since recently finding and reading your books, I am trying the strike method for various misbehaviors. Is this also appropriate for anxiety like Leah has? How can I best help her?
