Question
Hi...I have an incredible loving and super smart six year old who does not listen to anything my husband or I say. She frequently "runs" off when things upset her. She "wanders off" on her own many times....example being if we are out and she needs to use restroom..off she goes without notice. She is just generally defiant and can be verbally fresh. she does things her way or not at all. I should mention she does conform in school however. I have been using the ticket system and have seen some improvements. On vacation this week She said I am going to get an ice cream...I say no...and off she goes to buy one. What else can I do? Will she always be a struggle? Thanks
