Recently an mom told me the following: "My 3 year old daughter has been kinda lashing out a little with me. Maybe I am being too sensitive about it, but it seems like she is distancing herself a little from me lately. I know it is the age and a phase, so I feel like I need some bonding time with her." This little girl could be considered "daddy's little girl" as well. I want to just tell her to "mom-up" and be the parent she needs you to be, but in a more kind/gentle yet still assertive way. Any advice on how to coach this mom and help build her confience in her mom-skills?
